It reflects the role of individuals working in a variety of dance teaching contexts, including private dance studios. You will learn how to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse and evaluate information relating to the assessment of dance students. The program covers key elements of dance teaching practice, including how to teach, what to teach, and how to be successful. The qualification is essential for those who want to open a dance school, teach/manage in-school programs, and/or expand their professional knowledge.

This course is delivered over 20 hours per week through a combination of face-to-face and online delivery over 52 weeks (including 12 week holidays). Students are required to attend 15 hours of classroom training per week and complete structured self-study of 5 hours per week. This is a mandatory component of a student’s study, and the student’s attendance and participation will be monitored.
The training package stipulates that individuals must complete an audition or provide another form of evidence which demonstrates their competence in at least one dance style equivalent to Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level 4 or above (for furhter information request the course brochure)
